They are suitable for the storage of food ingredients, minerals and chemicals, including abrasive and corrosive substances. The flame retardant, non-conductive and anti-static properties of the high strength textiles developed by Krause make them especially suitable for potentially explosive materials, such as chemicals, flour and sugar.

Krause has developed uncoated fabrics to allow dust free pneumatic filling. The gas permeable properties of the fabric prevent the formation of condensation that causes mould and bacteria.
